Rob Gronkowski’s Ankle Injury Will Require Surgery

Shalise Manza Young of the Boston Globe reports that Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski will most likely need to have his injured left ankle scoped after the Super Bowl.

Reports have confirmed that Gronkowski will play in Super Bowl despite having a high-ankle sprain. Still, his ankle will need to be “cleaned up” because of the ligament damage that he suffered last weekend.

The real takeaway here is that Gronkowski will not be close to 100% for the Super Bowl which could be a decent advantage for the Giants considering how unstoppable he has better throughout the season.
