Raiders Worked Out 5 Players Including DE Gerald Rivers

Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post reports that the Raiders brought in five players for workouts including DE Glenn Foster, DE Gerald Rivers, DL Greg Scruggs, DL Davon Walls and LB Tony Washington.

Rivers, 25, originally signed on with the Rams as an undrafted free agent out of Mississippi back in 2013. Since then, Rivers has played for a number of teams including the Jaguars, Dolphins, Broncos and most recently for the Giants.

He has recently worked out for the Saints and Eagles, but did not receive an offer from either team.

Rivers hasn’t appeared in an NFL game since the 2013 season when he was playing for the Jaguars.

Foster, 25, wound up signing on with the Saints as an undrafted free agent out of Illinois back in 2013. He had one year remaining on his three-year, $1.492 million rookie contract when he was among the Saints’ roster cuts a few months ago.

In 2014, Foster appeared in five games for the Saints, but recorded just a single tackle.
