Jets Worked Out 4 Players Including RB Kendall Hunter & TE Rob Housler

Rich Cimini reports that the Jets brought in four players for workouts on Tuesday including RB Kendall Hunter, TE Rob Housler, DE Tim Jamison and LB Ryan Mueller.

This is the fourth team to show interest in Hunter over the past few weeks. He previously worked out for the Jaguar, Seahawks, and Patriots.

Hunter, 27, is a former fourth-round pick of the 49ers back in 2011. He wound up signing a one-year, $870,000 contract extension with the 49ers in November of last year, but was released from injured reserve with a settlement a few weeks into the season.

Unfortunately, Hunter missed the entire 2014 season after tearing his ACL.

In 2013, Hunter appeared in all 16 games for the 49ers and ran for 358 yards on 78 carries (4.6 YPC) and three touchdowns.

Housler, 26, is a former third-round pick of the Cardinals who played out his rookie contract with the team. The Browns wound up signing him to a one-year,  $1.76 million contract back in April, but he was placed on injured reserve close to a month ago.

Cleveland wound up waiving him from I.R. last week.

This season, Housler has appeared in six games and recording just a single reception for six yards receiving for the Browns.
