Eagles CB Nolan Carroll Suffers Broken Ankle

The Philadelphia Eagles announced that CB Nolan Carroll suffered a broken right ankle during Thursday’s game against the Lions.

This will likely cost Carroll the remainder of the 2015 season.

Philadelphia will probably place Carroll on season-ending injured reserve in the coming days.

Carroll, 28, is in the final year of his two-year, $5.25 million contract and stands to make a base salary of $2.9 million before testing the open market next year.

Entering today’s game, Carroll had recorded 56 tackles, two interceptions with one being returned for a touchdown, and 10 pass defenses for the Eagles over the course of 10 games. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 66 cornerback out of 110 qualifying players.
