Redskins Promote DB Dashaun Phillips To Active Roster

The Washington Redskins promoted DB Dashaun Phillips to their active roster, according to the NFL transactions release.

  • Washington also placed DB Chris Culliver on season-ending injured reserve.

Phillips, 24, originally signed on with the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent out of Tarleton State back in May of last year. He was waived with the injury designation at the start of last year before eventually joining the Jets.

Phillips was unfortunately unable to make the Jets’ 53-man roster coming out of the preseason, but he later signed on to the Redskins’ practice squad a week into the start of the season.

He has yet to appear in an NFL game.
