Redskins Waive/Injured DB Trenton Robinson

Redskins HC Jay Gruden announced Saturday that DB Trenton Robinson was waived with the injury designation.

Robinson, who has been dealing with a hamstring injury, would likely revert to the injured reserve list if he cleared waivers.

Robinson, 25, is a former sixth round pick of the 49ers back in 2012. He spent a little over year in San Francisco before he was waived at the start of the 2013 season.

He briefly played for the Eagles before joining the Redskins later on in the 2013 season. Washington elected to bring Robinson back on a one-year deal this past March. Robinson will make a base salary of $660,000 for the 2015 season.

This season, Robinson has appeared in nine games and recorded 51 tackles, one interception, and a pass defense for the Redskins.
