Jon Bon Jovi Still Looking To Buy An NFL Team, Titans An Option?

Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports reports that Jon Bon Jovi, who was involved in the bidding process for the Bills, is still interested in purchasing an NFL team and has “considerable interest” in the Titans should they be available for purchase.

According to La Canfora, Bon Jovi continues to work behind the scenes to put himself in position to purchase an NFL franchise. However, La Canfora adds that there are “serious reservations” about his ability to secure the kind of funding it would require to make such a purchase.

There have been a lot of questions about the Titans’ ownership situation since the passing of Bud Adams, which has led some owners to suggest the team could be put up for sale in the spring or fall of next year.

It’s worth mentioning that the Titans have said they have no intention of selling the franchise.

La Canfora lists Steelers minority owner Barry Tepper, FedEx founder Fred Smith and the Frist family as other potential bidders for the Titans should they be available.

We’ll have more regarding a potential sale of the Titans as the news is available.
