- Albert Breer mentions that after speaking to people around the league, the belief is that there isn’t a quarterback prospect as good as either Jameis Winston or Marcus Mariota in the 2016 class.
- Even so, Breer says there are a lot of “pretty good, not great” prospects available.
- According to Breer, it sounds like as many as eight quarterback (Connor Cook, Jared Goff, Paxton Lynch, Christian Hackenberg, Chad Kelly, Carson Wentz, Kevin Hogan, and Cody Kessler) could go in first three or four rounds.
49ers HC Jim Tomsula mentioned yesterday that isn’t sure if RB Carlos Hyde will be able to return this season.
“Honestly, I don’t know if Carlos will play this year or not,” Tomsula said, via the San Jose Mercury News. “I know that with the particular injury and the way it’s being handled medically with Carlos, I know Carlos would like to try to play. I know they’re really working through it. But again, I don’t deal in that world.”
“Peyton worked hard through the weekend and worked hard today,” Kubiak said on Monday, via Pro Football Talk. “I think tomorrow is kind of a rest day for him. . . . The thought is that maybe starting Wednesday, depending on how things go, [Manning will] start to throw, we start to do a little bit on the field type of stuff. We’re working toward some football things this week, but it has been a good weekend for him and I know he’s feeling better.”
Jon Bon Jovi denied the report that he is interested in purchasing the Tennessee Titans.
