Vikings Place S Antone Exum On I.R. & Sign S Shaun Prater

The Minnesota Vikings announced a series of roster moves on Tuesday including signing S Shaun Prater to a contract and placing S Antone Exum on season-ending injured reserve.

Exum, 24, is in the second year of his four-year, $2,335,788 rookie contract that included a $115,788 signing bonus. He stands to make base salaries of $510,000 (2015), $600,000 (2016), and $690,000 (2017) over the remainder of the contract.

His 2015 season ends with him appearing in 12 games and recording 13 tackles, two fumble recoveries and a force fumble for the Vikings.

Prater, 25, was a fifth-round pick by the Bengals in 2012, but landed on the injured-reserve with a knee injury and was waived the following offseason. He later caught on with the Eagles before joining the Vikings for the past two seasons.

The Colts re-signed him to a contract a few weeks ago, but he’s been on and off of their roster this season.

This season, Prater has been active for one game, but has yet to record a single statistic.
