Jets Promote S Ronald Martin & Sign TE Brandon Bostick To Practice Squad

The New York Jets announced a series of roster moves on Tuesday including placing DE Mike Catapano on season-ending injured reserve.

Martin, 22, wound up signing on with the Seahawks as an undrafted free agent out of shortly after this year’s draft. However, he waived during roster cuts and later claimed by the Jets.

Since then, Martin has been on an off of their 53-man roster.

This season, Martin has appeared in four games for the Jets, but has yet to record a single statistic.

Bostick, 26, originally signed on with the Packers as an undrafted free agent back in 2012. However, he was cut loose after he dropped an onside kick that aided the Seahawks comeback in the NFC Championship game.

The Vikings elected to claim him off of waivers, but Bostick was unfortunately among their final roster at the start of the season. He later joined the Cardinals’ practice before being waived in recent weeks.

In 2014, Bostick appeared in 13 games and caught two passes for three yards and a touchdown.
