Bears Place WR WR Marquess Wilson On I.R. & Promote DB Demontre Hurst

The Chicago Bears announced Saturday that they’ve placed WR Marquess Wilson on season-ending injured reserve with foot injury and promoted DB Demontre Hurst to their active roster.

Wilson, 23, is in the third year of his  four-year, $2.208 million rookie contract that included a $47,592 signing bonus. He’ll make a base salary of $585,000 this season and another $675,000 in 2016.

Wilson’s 2015 season ends with him appearing in 11 games and recording 28 receptions for 464 yards receiving and a touchdown.

Hurst, 24, re-signed with the Bears as an exclusive free agent back in February. However, he was waived a few months ago and later added to their practice squad. Since then, he’s been on and off of the team’s active roster.

This season, Hurst has appeared in three games for the Bears and recorded a single tackle.
