Titans GM Ruston Webster “Far From Safe”

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that Titans GM Ruston Webster is “far from safe” in regards to his future with the team.

A high-ranking Titans’ source tells Rapoport of Webster: “When you’ve won 5 games in the last 2 years, no one is safe. That includes Ruston Webster.”

The Titans elected to fire HC Ken Whisenhunt mid-season, so it shouldn’t come as a surprise to hear that their general manager could be the next man out in Tennessee.

Many expect the Titans to have plenty of interest from coaching candidates with Marcus Mariota in place as their starting quarterback. It will interesting to see if they hire a head coach and give him total control of the team, or if they’d prefer to bring in a general manager and pair him with a coach.

One other factor to keep an eye on is the Titans’ ownership situation. Reports have said for a while now that the team could be for sale at some point.

We’ll have more regarding Webster’s future with the team as the news is available.
