Chiefs Waived DB Sanders Commings From I.R. With Settlement

The Kansas City Chiefs waived DB Sanders Commings from injured reserve with a settlement on Monday, according to the NFL transactions release.

This move will give him a head start towards finding an opportunity for next season.

Commings , 25, was a fifth-round pick by the Chiefs back in 2013. Though he was believed to be a possible starter last offseason, Commings faced a number of injury complications since his rookie season.

In fact, he landed on the injured reserve in 2014 and has only appeared in two games throughout his career.

The Chiefs wound up waiving Commings with an injury settlement at the start of the season. He later reverted to injured reserve after clearing waivers.

In 2013, Commings appeared in two games and recorded a single tackle for the Chiefs.
