Dolphins Worked Out 6 Players Including QBs Zac Dysert & Dustin Vaughan

Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post reports that the Dolphins worked out QB Zac Dysert, RB Dominique Brown, RB Jerome Smith, QB Dustin Vaughan, DL Joe Vellano, and DE Julius Warmsley.

Dysert, 25, is a former seventh-round pick of the Broncos back in 2013. He was placed on waivers by the Broncos at the start of the 2014 season, but they later added him to their practice squad.

The Bears claimed Dysert off of waivers a few weeks ago, but he was among their final roster cuts at the start of the season.

Since then, Dysert returned to the Texans, but was on and off of their practice squad before being cut loose a few weeks ago.

Dysert has yet to appear in a regular season NFL game.

Vaughan, 24, originally signed on with the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent out of West Texas A&M in May of last year. He wound up making the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason, but was unfortunately among Dallas’ final roster cuts from a few weeks back.

The Bills signed him to their practice squad a few weeks into the season before cutting him loose a month later.

During his college career, Vaughan completed 593 of 949 passing (62.5) for 8,124 yards to go along with 70 touchdowns and 19 interceptions.
