Rams Promote DE DE Doug Worthington To Active Roster

The St. Louis Rams promoted DE Doug Worthington to their active roster on Thursday, according to the NFL transactions release.

Worthington, 27, is a former seventh-round pick of the Steelers back in 2010. He spent just a few months in Pittsburgh before he was waived at the start of the season.

Since then, Worthington has played for a number of teams including the Buccaneers, Redskins, and Chargers before eventually signing a future/reserve contract with the Rams in December of last year.

He’s been on an off of their active roster this season.

Worthington hasn’t appeared in an NFL game since the 2012 season when he was playing for the Redskins.
