NFL Notes: 49ers, Packers, Raiders, Rams, & Seahawks

49ers

49ers RB Jarryd Hayne said Friday that he’s committed to returning to the NFL next year, even though he’s seen limited action during his rookie season.

“Oh definitely. It’s been exciting,” Hayne said, via Matt Barrows of the Sacramento Bee. “To come this far in seven months, give me 12, 14 (and) it’s going to be completely different. And I think anyone who’s seen my growth will tell you how much I’ve changed and developed. And it’s always funny, looking at old film, it’s one of those awkward things … ‘What was I thinking? Or, ‘What was I doing?’ It’s hilarious.”

Packers

  • Rob Demovsky reports that the Packers worked out P Will Johnson, P Kasey Redfern, LS Rick Lovato, LS Sam Rodgers and K Andy Wilder on Friday.

Raiders

  • Raiders DE Justin Tuck tells Alex Marvez that doctors have told him he’s ahead of schedule in his recovery from torn pectoral muscle.
  • Tuck added that he’s aiming to be back with the Raiders in 2016.

Rams

  • The St. Louis Board of Alderman approved a financing package for new stadium by a vote of 17-10. (St Louis Post-Dispatch)
  • With this plan, the city of St. Louis would contribute $150 million towards the $1.1 billion project with the state, the NFL and Rams owner Stan Kroenke covering the remainder of the cost. (St Louis Post-Dispatch)
  • The NFL would be asked to provide $300 million with this plan, which is $100 million more than the league typically contributes for stadium projects. (St Louis Post-Dispatch)

Seahawks

  • According to Tom Pelissero of USA Today, the Seahawks signed RB Christine Michael to just a one-year contract, which means he would be a restricted free agent in 2016, assuming he isn’t released before the end of the year.
