Falcons Likely To Fire GM Thomas Dimitroff After The Season?

Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports reports that Falcons owner Arthur Blank is seriously considering major changes in his personnel department after another disappointing season.

According to La Canfora, the Falcons are likely to move on from GM Thomas Dimitroff and most of his staff after the year is out.

However, Blank is reportedly committed to keeping first-year HC Dan Quinn.

As for who the Falcons could target to be their next general manager, La Canfora mentions Seattle director of pro personnel Trent Kirchner and Vikings assistant GM George Paton as two names to keep an eye on.

Both Kirchner and Paton have ties to Quinn and are considered to be “very strong options” to replace Dimitroff.

Dimitroff has reportedly been on the hot seat for a few years now, and given the lack of improvement and the limited talent on the team’s roster, it’s not surprising to hear that this could be it for him in Atlanta.

We’ll have more regarding front office changes for the Falcons as the news is available.
