Texans Gave QB/WR B.J. Daniels A Two-Year Deal Worth $660,000

Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports that the Texans signed QB/WR B.J. Daniels to a two-year contract worth $660,000.

  • According to Wilson, Daniels will receive $60,000 for the remainder of the 2015 season.
  • His 2016 salary will be $600,000.

Houston elected to sign Daniels off of the Seahawks’ practice squad earlier in the week after they lost T.J. Yates for the season with a torn ACL.

Daniels, 25, is a former seventh-round pick of the 49ers back in 2013. He lasted less than a year in San Francisco before he was waived and later claimed by the Seahawks.

Daniels was able to make the team’s 53-man roster coming out of the preseason, but has been on and off the Seahawks’ roster since then.

This season, Daniels has appeared in four games and record one catch for 12 yards receiving and no touchdowns.
