Bears Place WR Alshon Jeffery & DL Eddie Goldman On I.R., Sign Two

The Chicago Bears announced Wednesday that they’ve placed WR Alshon Jeffery and DL Eddie Goldman on season-ending injured reserve.

Jeffery, 25, is in the final year of his four-year, $4.54 million rookie contract that included a $1.74 million signing bonus. He’ll make a base salary of $960,157 this season before becoming an unrestricted free agent next March.

His 2015 season ends with him appearing gin nine games and recording 54 receptions for 807 yards receiving and four touchdowns.

Goldman, 21, was selected in the second round of this year’s NFL draft. He is in the first year of his four-year, $5.686 million rookie contract that includes $3.524 million guaranteed.

Goldman will make a base salary of $435,000 this season to go along with another $525,000 in 2016.

In 2015, Goldman appeared in 15 games and recorded 22 tackles and 4.5 sacks for the Bears.
