Jets Worked Out DT Devon Still & WR Marcus Thigpen

Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post reports that the Jets worked out former Bengals DT Devon Still, LB Willie Jefferson and WR Marcus Thigpen on Wednesday.

Still, 26, is a former second-round pick of the Bengals. Last year, Still was released at the start of the season, but he was later added to the team’s practice squad. Cincinnati brought Still back on a one-year, $740,000 contract back in March. However, he was among their final roster cuts at the start of the season.

The Colts, Titans, Broncos and Texans have all brought Still in for workouts in past few months, but he has yet to sign on with a new team.

In 2014, Still appeared in 12 games and recorded 19 tackles for the Bengals. Pro Football Focus has him down for playing 237 snaps last year.

Thigpen, 29, originally signed on with the Eagles as an undrafted free agent out of Indiana back in 2009. Since then, Thigpen has played for a number of teams including the Broncos, Dolphins, Patriots, Buccaneers, Bills and Colts.

The Raiders signed Thigpen to a contract earlier in November, but released him shortly afterwards. He later signed on with the Bills before being cut loose last week.

This season, Thigpen has appeared in nine  games and totaled 330 kick return yards and 119 punt return yards for the Bills.
