Colts Plan To Fire HC Chuck Pagano, Undecided About GM Ryan Grigson?

Update:

Colts owner Jim Irsay has denied the report that they plan to fire HC Chuck Pagano after the season.

Stephen Holder, citing a “rock solid” source, reports that Pagano hasn’t been told anything about his future with the team.

Holder’s source added that he does not think qualifying for the postseason will be a factor in the decision to keep Pagano.

ESPN’s Mike Wells reports that Colts do not plan to retain HC Chuck Pagano after the season.

However, GM Ryan Grigson’s future with the team remains unclear at this point in time.

Sources tell Wells that Pagano and Grigson have a “toxic” relationship and things are “100 times worse” inside the organization when it comes to the relationship between the two men than they’ve been on the field this season for the Colts.

According to Wells, it has reached the point where Grigson and Pagano have little communication with each other whatsoever.

Even if the Colts end up keeping Grigson and have him aid their search for a replacement, Wells’ sources have said that this does not guarantee that he’ll be the Colts’ general manager next season.

Instead, Grigson could be replaced if the team’s next head coach has a preference in regards to their next general manager.

We’ll have more regarding the Colts and Pagano as the news is available.
