Rams & Chargers Could Pursue Pete Carroll As HC After 2016?

Jason Cole of B/R reports that the Rams and Chargers are expected to pursue Seahawks HC Pete Carroll after the 2016 season.

Carroll is still under contract for another year, and some have speculated that he could retire at the end of the 2016 season.

However, with the chance that the Chargers could join the Rams in Los Angeles, Cole mentions that they’d like to bring in a high-profile coach such as Carroll, given that he was very successful in Southern California while coaching USC.

Cole also expects there to be television opportunities for Carroll to consider next year as well, so he should have multiple options.

Of course, the Seahawks will likely try to sign him to an extension in the event he wants to continue coaching beyond 2016.

Carroll, 64, was hired by the Seahawks back in 2010. Since taking the job, Carroll has led the team to a record of 60-36 (62.5 percent) to go along with four playoff appearances, two trips to Super Bowls and a Championship in 2013.

We’ll have more regarding Carroll’s future as the news is available.
