Eagles Officially Hire Former Browns OC John DeFilippo As QBs Coach

The Philadelphia Eagles officially announced the hiring of former-Browns OC John DeFilippo as their new quarterbacks coach on Thursday.

Mike Garafolo of FOX Sports reports that the Eagles have hired former-Browns OC John DeFilippo as their new quarterbacks coach.

It didn’t take long for DeFilippo to find a new home after new Browns HC Hue Jackson informed him that he has been released from his contract last week.

He interviewed with the 49ers and Rams’ offensive coordinator job before taking this job with the Eagles.

DeFilippo, 37, began his NFL coaching career with the Giants as their offensive quality control coordinator back in 2005. Since the, DeFilippo has worked for the Jets and Raiders before being hired last year as the Browns’ offensive coordinator.
