Draft

  • Senior Bowl director Phil Savage said of North Dakota QB Carson Wentz:In the last two weeks I’ve gotten two calls from (NFL personnel) that he’s not only a first-rounder, but a top 10 guy.” (Chase Goodbread)
  • Dane Brugler believes that some view Wentz as a top-10 pick, but adds that there is no consensus among NFL teams regarding this year’s quarterback prospects. In fact, some scouts have told Brugler prefer Memphis QB Paxton Lynch.

Los Angeles

  • Jason Cole reports that the Rams and Chargers are still in ongoing negotiations about the Chargers moving to Los Angeles and sharing the Inglewood stadium.
  • Jason La Canfora adds that talks between the two teams have been going on for nearly a week straight and they are making progress towards an agreement.

Giants

  • Alex Marvez reports that the Giants have interviewed Paul Pasqualoni for their defensive-line coaching vacancy.

Patriots

  • Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Patriots are firing offensive line coach Dave DeGuglielmo.
  • This moves comes just a day after QB Tom Brady took a staggering number of hits.

Vikings
