Broncos

Broncos director of pro personnel Tom Heckert has been dealing with a “very treatable blood disorder” that will prevent him attending the Super Bowl.

“I was recently diagnosed with a very treatable blood disorder,” Heckert said, via Mike Klis of 9News. “I’m feeling better every day as a result of the treatments and hope to get back to work in the near future.

“The Broncos’ organization—in particular John Elway, Matt Russell and Joe Ellis—have been extremely supportive and accommodating during the last few months. I sincerely appreciate everyone’s kind thoughts and will be rooting for the Broncos to bring home a Super Bowl win.”

Colts

  • Dianna Marie Russini of ESPN reports that Colts LB D’Qwell Jackson is being sued for $1.5 million by the pizza delivery driver in Washington D.C. for allegedly breaking a bone in his face during a fight.

Cowboys

  • Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports that Cowboys DE DeMarcus Lawrence underwent surgery on his back, but should be on the field for “when it matters,.
  • Cowboys HC Jason Garrett would not put a timetable on Lawrence’s return. Although, he also didn’t appear to be overly worried about him moving forward, according to Archer.

Dolphins
