With the Broncos winning Super Bowl 50, the 2016 NFL season will open with Denver playing one of eight teams: the Chargers, Raiders, Chiefs, Colts, Texans, Falcons, Panthers, or Patriots.
Typically, the NFL looks for an intriguing storyline when choosing the season-opener, so you would have to think the Panthers (Super Bowl rematch), Patriots (AFC Championship rematch) and Colts (assuming Peyton Manning returns, would be against his former team) would be their preferred options.
There are also some interesting division matchups with the Chargers, Chiefs and Raiders.
