Browns Expected To Pursue Bengals WR Mohamed Sanu In Free Agency

Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer, citing a league source, reports that the Browns are expected to pursue Bengals free agent WR Mohamed Sanu in the coming weeks.

The Browns could obviously use some help at the position and there is an obvious tie with former Bengals OC Hue Jackson being hired as Cleveland’s new head coach.

A source tells Cabot that Jackson loved Sanu’s versatility and would love to have him in Cleveland.

Last night, Alex Marvez of FOX Sports reported that there’s “virtually no chance” of the Bengals re-signing Sanu, who could have interest from the Falcons, and Giants as well.

Sanu, 26, was taken in the third round of the 2012 NFL draft. He’ll be an unrestricted free agent in the coming weeks.

In 2015, Sanu appeared in all 16 games and caught 33 passes for 394 yards receiving to go along with 71 yards rushing and two touchdowns.
