Bengals impending free agent S Reggie Nelson says he doesn’t want his time with Cincinnati to end with him sitting on the sideline for their playoff loss to the Steelers.
“Most definitely not,” Nelson said, via Bengals.com. “They know that. Everybody knows that. I would love to be a Bengal. I did my part. I played football. It’s time to handle business and we’ll go from there.”
Nelson, 32, played out his contract and is now in position to test the open market in the coming weeks as an unrestricted free agent.
In 2015, Nelson appeared in all 16 games and recorded 77 tackles, eight interceptions, two forced fumbles, and 14 pass defenses. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 9 safety out of 88 qualifying players.
We have him featured in our Top 100 – 2016 Free Agents list.
