Tim Tebow May Consider Playing In CFL If The Right Opportunity Presents Itself

Tim Tebow‘s college HC Urban Meyer mentioned on the NFL Network that Tebow would probably consider playing for a CFL team if it was the right situation.

I think that’s a great point and I was actually in a conversation with him about going to Canada,” Meyer said, via Pro Football Talk. “The situation — his family and I were involved in it — we just didn’t think it was the right one. I think if there’s a right one I think he’d probably do it.

Meyer did admit that Tebow’s throwing motion is “somewhat of an awkward,” but he thought Chip Kelly could have helped him make some improvements had his stay in Philadelphia lasted longer.

“He does have somewhat of an awkward throwing motion at times,” Meyer said. “I really thought the Chip Kelly experience would be his opportunity — I really hope he gets his foot in the door.

The Montreal Alouettes own the rights to Tebow if he decides to pursue an opportunity in Canada.

Tebow, 28, is a former first-round pick of the Broncos back in 2010. He spent just two years in Denver before he was later traded to the Jets in 2012. He had a brief stint with the Patriots before the Eagles surprisingly gave him an opportunity last summer.

During the preseason, Tebow threw for 286 yards while completing 58.3 percent of his passes to go along with two touchdowns and an interception. He also contributed 82 yards rushing and a rushing touchdown.

  1. screw tebow, yes if he is promised a qb jb of course he will play, god knows he has had more chances in the nfl than anyone. His ego should have changed positions for a team to make it work.
