Jaguars A Team To Watch For DE/OLB Bruce Irvin?

Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, citing a league source, reports that the Jaguars are one of the teams to watch for Seahawks free agent DE/OLB Bruce Irvin once free agency opens next week.

Florio points to the obvious connection between Irvin and Jaguars HC Gus Bradley, as they spent time together in Seattle a few years ago.

On top of that, the Jaguars are clearly in need of some pass-rushing help, and Irvin figures to be one of the better options available.

The Falcons, Giants and Buccaneers have also been tossed out as speculative options for Irvin to consider.

Irvin, 28, is a former first round pick of the Seahawks back in 2012. He’s in the final year of his rookie contract after the Seahawks elected not to pick up his fifth-year option last year.

In 2015, Irvin appeared in 15 games and recorded 38 tackles, 5.5 sacks, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery, and two pass defenses. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 15 linebacker in a 4-3 defense out of 35 qualifying players.
