Rams In Talks To Extend HC Jeff Fisher & His Coaching Staff

Nick Wagoner of ESPN, citing a league source, reports that the Rams and HC Jeff Fisher are currently engaged in extension talks for him and his coaching staff.

  • Wagoner adds that nothing is official as of now.

Fisher is entering the final year of his contract and currently makes one of the higher salaries of the head coaches in the NFL.

Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports previously mentioned that an extension could be in order for Fisher now that the team is relocating to Los Angeles, so this shouldn’t come as a complete surprise.

Interestingly enough, Fisher actually has experience being in charge of a team relocating, as he was the Oilers head coach when they moved to Tennessee and became the Titans.

Since taking the job in 2012, Fisher has led the Rams to a record of 27-36 (43 percent), which includes four straight seasons of less than eight wins.

We’ll have more regarding a potential extension for Fisher as the news is available.
