Eagles Use Low-Round Tender On RFA OL Matt Tobin

Tom Pelissero of USA Today reports that the Eagles have used a low-round tender on restricted free agent OL Matt Tobin.

The low-round tender will cost the Eagles $1,671,000 for the 2016 and give them the right of first refusal on any contract offer he receives. However, if they elect to not match an offer sheet, the Eagles would not receive any compensation for him.

Tobin, 25, wound up signing on with the Eagles as an undrafted free agent out of Iowa back in 2013. He managed to make the 53-man roster and appeared in 16 games for the Eagles in 2015.

Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 49 guard out of 81 qualifying players.
