NFL Rumors: Browns, Dolphins, Lions, Packers, & Raiders

Browns

• The Cleveland Browns announced Friday that President Alec Scheiner stepping away from position with the team, but will continue to serve as consultant through end of the 2016 season.

Dolphins

• Barry Jackson reports that the Dolphins will not tender restricted free agent TE Brandon Williams.

Lions

• Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press takes a look at 10 free agents that could be options for the Lions in the coming days.
• Some of the notable players included in Birkett’s list include: S George Iloka, WR Marvin Jones, OL Kelechi Osemele, OL Mitchell Schwartz, and WR Jermaine Kearse.

Packers

Packers free agent WR James Jones said he was hoping to be back in Green Bay, but it looks like he’ll once again test the open market.

“I was hoping I would return to GB but I don’t know what is going to happen,” Jones said, via Sirius XM NFL Radio. “Looks like I’m going to hit open market.”

• Tom Silverstein reports that the Packers won’t tender restricted free agent OLB Andy Mulumba and it appears as though they’ll do the same with OL Lane Taylor.

Raiders

• Adam Caplan of ESPN reports that the Raiders extended low-round tender to RFA OT Matt McCants.
