Seahawks Use Low-Round Tender On C Patrick Lewis, Also Tender 6 ERFAs

Tom Pelissero of USA Today reports that the Seahawks gave restricted free agent C Patrick Lewis the low-round.

The low-round tender will cost the Seahawks $1,671,000 for the 2016 season and give them the right of first refusal on any contract offer they receive. However, if they elect to not match an offer sheet, Seattle would not receive any compensation for him.

Lewis, 25, originally signed on with the Packers as an undrafted free agent out of Texas A&M back in 2013. He lasted just a few months in Green Bay before catching on with the Browns, Jaguars, and Seahawks.

In 2015, Lewis appeared in nine games for the Seahawks and played a total of 741 snaps, according to Pro Football Focus.
