Jets Have Shown Interest In CBs Adam Jones & Prince Amukamara

Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk reports that the Jets are among several teams interested free agent CB Adam Jones.

Jones, 32, played out his three-year contract with the Bengals and will be an unrestricted free agent in the coming months. Despite his age, Jones has actually played pretty well for the Bengals, so it will be interesting to see where he ends up.

In 2015, Jones appeared in 14 games for the Bengals and recorded 62 tackles, one sack, three interceptions, a forced fumble and 12 pass defenses. He also contributed 235 kick return yards and 179 punt return yards. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 16 cornerback out of 118 qualifying players.

Amukamara, 26, is a former first-round pick of the Giants back in 2011. The team elected to pick up his fifth-year option last year, but he’s now in position to be one of the best available cornerbacks in this year’s market.

In 2015, Amukamara appeared in 11 games for the Giants and recorded 63 tackles, one interception, one forced fumble, a recovery and 10 pass defenses.

We have both players featured in our Top 100 – 2016 Free Agents list.
