Colts A Team To Watch For OLB Courtney Upshaw, Could Return To Ravens

Update:

Charles Robinson reports that the Colts are a team to watch for Ravens OLB Courtney Upshaw.

  • However, his market isn’t all that active right now, according to Robinson.
  • Robinson doesn’t rule out Upshaw re-signing with the Ravens in the event things don’t pick up for him.

Jeff Zrebiec of the Baltimore Sun continues to hear that the Colts could be a landing spot for Ravens free agent OLB Courtney Upshaw.

However, Zrebiec adds that there’s nothing definitive regarding this possibility right now.

This comes after the news that the Colts have waived former first-round pick OLB Bjoern Werner on Tuesday.

Indianapolis continues to be linked to Ravens’ free agents with Chuck Pagano still in place as their head coach.

Upshaw, 26, is a former second-round pick of the Ravens back in 2012. He played out his rookie contract with the team and is now in position to test the open market.

In 2015, Upshaw appeared in all 16 games for the Ravens and recorded 51 tackles, two sacks, two forced fumbles, three recoveries and two pass defenses. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 84 edge rusher out of 110 qualifying players.
