  1. NFL/NFLPA need to look at this given the spectrum is too broad when
    looking at OL, or the difference between a 34 and 43 DE or LB.

    If at all possible maybe have a backup franchise tag #s ie valuable backup QB hitting FA, noone else to tag, so tag the backup QB at a lower price to the starting QB.

    • You make a good point that having a center count the same as an left tackles doesn’t take into account their real market value. We’re already seeing players contest the tag figures based on playing like Jermichael Finley, Terrell Suggs and Jimmy Graham. Something to definitely consider.
