3-5 Teams Reportedly Interested In Adrian Peterson

Sirius XM NFL Radio is reporting that there are three to five teams currently interested in free agent RB Adrian Peterson. According to the report, Peterson has neither set an asking price nor turned down an offer from any team up to this point.

Peterson has scheduled a visit with the Patriots for today, but some have wondered just how serious New England really is signing him to a contract.

There has been some recent buzz regarding the Packers having interest in Peterson (NFLTR). However, Green Bay may hold off until after the draft before possibly bringing him in for a workout.

The Raiders, Lions, Giants and Buccaneers have all come up at different points in the offseason as potential landing spots for Peterson, but it’s hard to say just how interested they are right now.

Peterson, 31, is a former first-round pick of the Vikings back in 2007. He was entering the final year of his three-year, $44 million contract that included $20 million guaranteed and was set to make a base salary of $11.75 million to go along with a $6 million roster bonus due on March 11.

Peterson is testing the open market for the first time in his career.

In 2016, Peterson has rushed for 72 yards on 37 carries (1.9 YPC) to go along with three receptions for eight yards receiving and no touchdowns over the course of three games.

We have him featured in our Top 50 Available Free Agents list.
