ESPN’s Adam Caplan reports that three NFL teams have expressed interest in supplemental draft prospect LB Darius Lipford.
- Matt Barrows of The Sacramento Bee reported last week that the 49ers hosted Kipford for a workout.
This year’s Supplemental Draft concluded without any of the four eligible players being selected. SMU RB Traylon Shead, Virginia University of Lynchburg DT LaKendrick Ross, and New Mexico WR Chase Clayton are the other three supplemental prospects.
Some have said that Lipford has the highest ceiling of the four prospects. Lipford totaled 75 tackles, 7.5 tackles for a loss, 2.5 sacks and five pass defenses over the course of three years at North Carolina.
