49ers CB Richard Sherman Out Few Weeks With Calf Strain

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that 49ers CB Richard Sherman suffered a mild calf strain and should end up missing a few weeks.

Sherman, 30, is a former fifth-round pick of the Seahawks back in 2011. He was entering the final of his five-year, $58.789 million contract that includes $40 million guaranteed and set to make a base salary of $11 million for the 2018 season when the Seahawks released him this offseason.

The 49ers later signed him to a three-year, $39.15 million contract.

In 2018, Sherman has appeared in three games for the 49ers and recorded seven tackles, a fumble recovery and two pass defenses.
