Navorro Bowman’s deal has just $7.5 million fully guaranteed with the other $25.5 million guaranteed for injury only, via Pro Football Talk.

The San Francisco 49ers are reportedly hours away away from reaching an agreement on a five-year extension with LB Navorro Bowman, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

The 49er linebacker recorded his 100th tackle of the season against the Saints and is on pace to eclipse his impressive tackle total (143) from last season.

Bowman made the AP All-Pro team in 2012 and figures to team with Patrick Willis (who signed a seven-year extension in 2010) for the next five years at inside linebacker for the 49ers. It makes sense to see San Francisco lock up their a young defensive stars and put to bed any Bowman-related contractual concerns.
