49ers Considering Signing T.J. Houshmandzadeh?

Cam Inman of the Bay Area News Group reports that 49ers WR Josh Morgan is going to miss more time because of the fractured ankle he suffered in the teams blowout win over the Buccaneers.

Josh is going to be out for an extended time, longer than we anticipated and longer than we hoped, longer than we can afford to have him out,” said 49ers head coach John Harbaugh.

Inman adds that there’s a chance that Morgan is done for the season.

As of now San Francisco will have a receiving core that consists of Michael CrabtreeTed Ginn and Kyle Williams as well as Joe Hastings and John Matthews who are on the practice squad. The 49ers are hoping to get Braylon Edwards back which should also help.

Matt Maiocco of CSNBayArea.com reports that the 49ers plan to bring in T.J. Houshmandzadeh for a workout but I wouldn’t be surprised to see them go with some of their younger options.
