49ers Making A Push To Trade Down From No. 2, Have Spoken To 6 Teams

Update:

Jeff Darlington reports that the 49ers continue to make a push to trade out of the No. 2 overall pick.

However, assuming there aren’t any worthy offers, Darlington guesses that San Francisco may take LSU S Jamal Adams with the picks.

We have LSU S Jamal Adams being selected by the 49ers in the First Round of our 2017 NFL Mock Draft.

Matt Maiocco of CSN Bay Area reports that the 49ers have spoken to six teams — three inside the top 10 and three outside the top 10 — about potential trades for the No. 2 overall pick.

Numerous reports have said that the Browns are prepared to make Texas A&M DE Myles Garrett the No. 1 overall pick later tonight.

The 49ers have made it clear that they’re willing to trade the second overall pick and drop back, given that they have multiple areas to address on their roster.

It’s possible that a team could have interest in trading up for UNC QB Mitch Trubisky, but it could prove to be too costly for teams. The Browns are known to be interested in Trubisky, but they may be reluctant to part with the kind of compensation it would take to move up from No. 12 overall.
