The San Francisco 49ers are expected to reach an agreement with first-round G Josh Garnett Friday night, according to Adam Schefter.

Once Garnett is under contract, the 49ers will have locked up their entire 2016 draft class.

Garnett, 22, was taken with the No. 28 overall pick after the 49ers traded back into round one to select him. Many were surprised to see them make the move up for Garnett, but he was one of the top interior offensive lineman in the 2016 draft class, and this was an area of need for San Francisco.

According to OverTheCap.com, Garnett receives a four-year contract worth $8,600,592 to go along with a signing bonus of $4,454,976 . The contract will include a fifth-year option for the team to consider in 2019.

During his four-year college career at Stanford, Garnett appeared in 55 games. He was named the 2015 Outland Trophy as the nation’s top interior lineman and Pac-12 Lineman of the Year as a senior.
