49ers Sign K Nick Rose To Futures Deal

The San Francisco 49ers officially signed K Nick Rose to a future/reserve contract on Wednesday.

Rose becomes the third player to sign a futures contract with the 49ers. The full list includes:

  1. OT Norman Price
  2. P Brock Miller
  3. K Nick Rose

Future/reserve contracts are essentially an opportunity for players compete for a roster spot in offseason workouts and during training camp.

Rose, 22, wound up signing a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Falcons as an undrafted free agent out of Texans back in May. He was, unfortunately, cut loose coming out of the preseason but didn’t catch on with another team during the season.

During his college career at Texas, Rose converted 27 of 38 field goal attempts (71.1 percent) to go along with 71 of 74 extra point tries (95.9 percent) for a total of 149 points.
