49ers Hiring Adam Peters As VP Of Player Personnel

Matt Maiocco of CSN Bay Area reports that 49ers new GM John Lynch is hiring Broncos executive Adam Peters as the team’s new VP of player personnel.

Reports from last night mentioned that Peters was Lynch’s top target to run the personnel department and it appears as though Lynch was able to close the deal.

Denver could have blocked the 49ers from interviewing Peters for the job, considering that he won’t get full control of the team’s roster.

There was talk that former Buccaneers GM Mark Dominik could join the 49ers’ front office, but it appears as though they may no longer be an option.

Peters began his career with the Patriots as a scouting assistant back in 2003 and was later promoted to area scout in 2006. Peters joined the Broncos as their director of college scouting this season and has spent eight years with the franchise.
