49ers Hope To Have Randy Moss Back Next Season

49ers WR Randy Moss wasn’t willing to say whether or not he’s prepared to retire after the season, per Eric Branch of the San Francisco Chronicle.

“We’ll know once the season’s over, bro,” said Moss on Friday.

Head coach Jim Harbaugh mentioned that he would like Moss to return next season and hopes that the feeling is reciprocal, per Eric Branch.

Although his role with the team has been limited, Harbaugh values Moss as a mentor to their younger receivers on the roster.

Moss tallied 28 receptions for 434 yards and three touchdowns this season and will turn 36 in February. Moss is currently in search of his first Super Bowl ring. Whatever happens in the next three weeks will likely impact his decision to return. He’s clearly not the same player, but he still brings something to the 49ers offense and it will be interesting to see if he’s willing to give it a go for another season.
