49ers Host DL/OLB Prospects Tuitt, Lynch and Bradford Tuesday

Adam Caplan reports, citing a league source, that the 49ers brought in three prospects Tuesday for visits: ASU OLB Carl Bradford, USF DE Aaron Lynch and Notre Dame DL Stephon Tuitt.

The 49ers hold 11 picks in next month’s NFL Draft, and accordingly have cast a wide net in their scheduled visits and workouts.

Tuitt entered the 2013 season for Notre Dame under the microscope of many scouts.  He has great size, and moves very well, but was not particularly productive, registering 7.5 sacks after amassing 12 in 2012.

Lynch began his highly touted college career at Notre Dame, but transferred to South Florida after a promising freshman year.  He is an outstanding athlete, but his production dipped at USF, and questions surrounding his work ethic emerged.

Bradford is a versatile player, lining up at defensive end and linebacker, though he lacks elite athleticism.

San Francisco could consider Tuitt at the back end of round one, or in round two.  Bradford and Lynch are likely day 3 picks.

We have San Francisco selecting Tuitt in the second round of our 2014 NFL Mock Draft.
