Ian Rapoport reports that the 49ers also brought in free agent DE Ricardo Mathews for a visit/workout on Tuesday. According to Rapoport, this is Mathews’ second visit to San Francisco.

Mathews, 30, is a former seventh-round pick of the Colts back in 2010. He spent four years in Indianapolis before signing on with the Chargers in 2014.
After two years in San Diego, Mathews signed a one-year contract with the Steelers last March.
In 2016, Mathews appeared in all 16 games for the Steelers and recorded 14 tackles and a sack.
