49ers Interested In Re-Signing RB Frank Gore

Frank Gore‘s agent, Drew Rosenhaus, tells ESPN’s Ed Werder that there is nothing negative between the 49ers and his client.

According to Rosenhaus, 49ers GM Trent Baalke has made clear that they want to re-sign Gore this offseason.

This comes just a day after Gore posted a message on his Instagram account saying: “I know the fans love me but I need to know if the management does.

A source tells Matt Barrows of the Sacramento Bee that Gore is looking for two things in free agency: 1.) Another 1,000-yard season, which would put him past 12,000 yards for his career, 2.) A chance at a Super Bowl title.

However, it appears likely that Gore will have to accept a pay cut next year.

Gore, 31, played out his three-year, $19,212,550 contract with the 49ers, which included $13.5 million guaranteed.

In 2014, he ran for 1,106 yards on 255 carries (4.3 YPC) to go along with 11 receptions for 111 yards receiving and five touchdowns. Pro Football Focus has Gore rated as the No. 26 running back out of 57 qualifying players.

We have Gore listed as the No. 46 player in our Top 75 Free Agents list.
